Relationship Tip of The Day: Never Make The One You Love Feel Alone.........

Relationships are important because it gives companionship. It gives you someone you can talk to, share your thoughts and troubles with and most importantly, it gives you a shoulder to cry on.

You all need to know that having a special person in your life is a gift to cherish and be proud of. No matter how busy you are, that special person should never be allowed to feel neglected, no matter what!!!

Childcare should not be used as an excuse not to have time for your significant other, also, health issues shouldn't be used as one.

When you're around, spend as much time as you can with your love, talk about how your day went, the plans you have for tommorrow, the dreams you have that have not yet come to pass and every other thing that's top on your mind..... it goes a long way in helping your relationship stay healthy!

Wish you luck with your relationships......

Dear Modupe,
I really understand where you are right now. Whoever said being a nursing/working mother is easy, needs to recheck!

However, trying your best to create a safe balance is of utmost importance. The good news is; this balance is possible to achieve.

The major thing you need to have in mind is that your spouse's needs (emotional, physical etc.) are very important and should be put into consideration. Having a child to care for does not change his needs.... you need to have this at the back of your mind. By the way, men are babies too (permit me to say this guys..lol), they need your attention as much as the child you are nursing. Ensure you do your best to have enough time for your man and child.

Secondly, you need sometime to yourself too. Childcare can be overwhelming, it'll take up your time and you may even neglect taking good care of yourself. When this is the case, you need to have some couple-alone time. Have date nights with your hubby where you go out to the cinema or a good restaurant. You can do this when there's someone around to help with the baby for about 2/3 hours in the night. Weekend get-aways are also important. Leave the child with your parents or in-laws (or someone you trust) and go catch some fun with your spouse over the weekend. IT WON'T DO THE BABY ANY HARM. Let your hubby pamper you as much as he can!

Communicating everyday is also very important. Please, don't be too tired to ask your spouse how his day went, what were the challenges he faced, or what were his accomplishments for the day. It helps strengthen the bond between you both. Communication is a very essential tool for a healthy relationship.

On the part of the husband, please, know that it is very normal for a woman to shift her attention to the child especially when it's her first. As time goes on and the baby becomes older and a little bit independent, she'll get over it naturally..... trust me, with the second child, it's always a little bit easier for her to notice you.

Dear Modupe, try your utmost best to carry your love along, show him as much love as you can at every opportunity you have. Remember, you guys are both gonna be together for a very long time -Even after the children are gone to start their own individual families...*wink*

Wish you luck with your marriage!
